Fathers Network Scotland was develop as a result of some exsisting fathers organsiations in Edinburgh and Lothains getting together over the last 8 months.

We have been working with EVOC to develop a Fathers Network Scotland constitution and electing a management committee.

Fathers Network Scotland held a fathers and children gathering at Bathgate Sports Centre on Wednesday 15th July where we had Face painting , Brazilian Drumming and the Animal Man the dads and their children chatted to each other over their picnics and played games and sports together.(Photo's of the dads and children from Dadswork is available to view in the gallery(Fathers Network Scotland Gathering 2009).

Fathers Network Scotland Objectives

To promote the physical, mental and emotional health of fathers in
Scotland through the provision of support to men in all aspects of
their role as fathers and to raise awareness and increase
understanding of the importance of fathers in child development and
parenting.

To advance education through the development and promotion of good
practice in all aspects of work with fathers and the production and
dissemination of information and research related to fatherhood and
work with fathers.
