Dadswork has received fantanstic news that they have been awarded a grant of £256,321 from the Big Lottery Fund(Investing in Communities), which will allow Dadswork to continue to support the dads and children of East Lothian for the next 5 years.

The Big Lottery Fund(Investing in Communities) will take effect from 1st October 2008

Dadswork has continued to receive further funding from:

• The Russell Trust
• The Roberston Trust
• The Kelly Family Trust
• The Cruden Foundation
• The JTH Charitable Trust
• The Cattanach Trust
• The Erskine Cunningham Hill Trust
• The Bruce Trust
• John Watson Trust

 Some of the above funding was secured to allow us the opportunity to provide a holiday for 6 families , where the other funding will allow us to provide development and other opportunities to the families.

IMPORTANT NEWS 

Dadswork held a sponsored walk around Arthur's Seat and then to the top to raised £316.0 for the annual family holiday.

The annual family holiday was held 10th - 14th August 2009 to Lagganlia Ourdoor Education Centre near Aviemore for 8 families,

Dadswork and The British Red Cross held a Basic First Aid Course and 8 dads passed and are now certified First Aiders.
